We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to support our restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a solid background in food preparation and team management. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for supervising staff, maintaining food safety standards, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Duties
Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service delivery and adherence to company policies
Supervise and motivate team members, including front-of-house and kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment
Assist in food preparation and cooking as needed, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety standards across all departments
Manage reservations, organise staffing schedules, and coordinate service flow during busy periods
Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and control waste to optimise operational efficiency
Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints promptly to uphold excellent customer satisfaction
Support training programmes for new staff members and ongoing development for existing personnel
Contribute to menu planning alongside head chefs, incorporating culinary trends and customer preferences
Experience
Proven supervisory experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
Experience in team management, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations (e.g., HACCP)
Previous roles in food production or hotel settings are highly desirable
Knowledge of hospitality practices such as serving, barista work, or hotel guest services is advantageous
Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
