The Eastfield Pub is looking for a new Assistant Manager!
We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Manager to join our friendly team here at the Eastfield. We are a community-focussed pub and host loads of private and public events throughout the year. Our food and drinks menus reflect our passion for quality and accessibility - here for all.
The perfect candidate will have experience in managing busy shifts and cash handling, as well as a keen interest in managing functions, as this is an integral part of a typical week at the Eastfield. Cellar training is a must, along with confidence in food safety, although training will be provided. Above all we're looking for a people person who is friendly and outgoing.
This is a really unique venue and in turn we're looking for a unique candidate.
We require:
Passion and confidence to lead a team to delivering outstanding customer service, creating a happy work environment
Minimum of 1 year's experience working in a similar establishment or in a similar position
Understanding importance of working to financial targets, food and drink GPs and wage percentages. Some previous experience with a P&L and ability to understand finer details of running a successful venue
Good knowledge of drinks and ability to manage a cellar, cellar training certification would be highly desirable however training is provided
Knowledge of fresh food catering, wine, spirits and cocktails, as well as an interest in the trends and direction of the pub and dining industry
Good knowledge of food service from a FOH perspective and the ability to assist in maintaining kitchen standards and working with alongside a Head Chef to achieve targets. Knowledge of Compliance, Health and Safety and Food standards (company training provided)
Skills managing a team, adapting rotas, time planning and team building. Experience training staff in products and offering, service style, company standards, health and safety
Previous experience running events, social media knowledge and the ability to manage a strong online presence is desirable

Pay rate is dependant on experience. In addition, we offer a bonus scheme of up to 3,000pa (pro rata) based on KPIs, plus good tips.
We are offering this position on the basis of min. 35hrs per week; at peak times this is subject to increase.
