The Eastfield Pub is looking for a new assistant manager to join the team!
The Eastfield is a busy neighbourhood pub in Henleaze. We're looking for an experienced assistant manager with a strong interest in food and drinks to join our established team.
This well-loved pub hosts a variety of functions every week from birthdays to charity quizzes to wakes, and so we're looking for someone with experience in running similar events and managing the booking diary with support from the Events Manager. This wealth of events gives us a strong connection with the local community and so the perfect candidate will easily fit in with the regulars!
Previous experience at a similar level is required; we will consider strong candidates at supervisor level who are looking for the next step in their hospitality career. The most important aspect is personality!
This is a really unique venue and in turn we're looking for a unique candidate.
The role is offered on an hourly basis at an average of 40hrs per week.
We require:
Passion and confidence to lead a team to delivering outstanding customer service, creating a happy work environment.
Minimum of 2 year's experience working in a similar establishment or in a similar position
Understanding importance of working to financial targets, food and drink GPs and wage percentages. Some previous experience with a P&L and ability to understand finer details of running a successful venue
Good knowledge of real ale and ability to manage a cellar - cellar training certification would be highly desirable however training is provided
Knowledge of fresh food catering, wine, spirits and cocktails, as well as an interest in the trends and direction of the pub and dining industry
Good knowledge of food service from a FOH perspective and the ability to assist in maintaining kitchen standards and working with alongside a Head Chef to achieve targets.
Knowledge of Compliance, Health and Safety and Food standards (company training provided)
Skills managing a team, adapting rotas, time planning and team building. Experience training staff in products and offering, service style, company standards, health and safety
