Duties:

Assist in overseeing daily operations of the fish bar, both kitchen and service areas

Prepare and cook menu items to a high standard

Support menu planning, recipe consistency, and quality control

Ensure all food preparation and service meet health and safety regulations

Train, supervise, and support kitchen and front-of-house staff

Help manage inventory, stock rotation, ordering, and cost control

Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient working environment

Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues professionally

Collaborate with management to improve service, efficiency, and overall customer experience

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Chef and in a supervisory or assistant management role

Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations

Experience in a fish bar, takeaway, or fast-paced kitchen environment is preferred

Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain high standards

Good organisational and problem-solving abilities

Passion for delivering excellent food and customer service
