As an Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our establishment, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Assist in overseeing daily operations of the restaurant or cafe, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction. Supervise and train staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork. Manage food preparation and production processes to ensure quality and consistency in all menu items. Maintain adherence to food safety regulations and standards, ensuring compliance at all times. Collaborate with the management team to develop menus and improve service offerings based on customer feedback. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring a high level of hospitality is maintained. Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling costs to maximise profitability. Support the leadership team in implementing operational policies and procedures.

Experience

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or restaurant industry is essential. Culinary experience with a strong understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations. Experience in team management, demonstrating effective leadership skills to motivate staff. Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in food production. Previous experience as a barista or in hotel settings is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong communication skills with the ability to serve guests effectively while managing staff efficiently.
