Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations within our Play Centre attraction.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the General Manager, Operations Manager, Kitchen & Maintenance Manager, Cleaning schedules (internal and external) ensuring the delivery of high-quality guest experiences, and ensuring a safe environment for children.

As we operate a 7 day a week business, you will be taking the lead on the General Managers days off, as well as working alongside them, 1-2 days per week. The role requires one weekend day of working - Sunday.

Our team consists of 40 personnel dependent upon the time of year. We also operate 3 seasonal events during the course of the year: Easter, Halloween & Christmas.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with management experience.

Duties

Assist in managing daily centre operations, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures Supervise and mentor team members, promoting professional development and teamwork Organise schedules, allocate resources efficiently, and oversee the safety and cleanliness of the premises Contribute to creating an engaging, inclusive environment that encourages learning through play Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations at all times Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff members as required

Requirements

Proven management and leadership experience within a similar setting Experience working with children and general public Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively Valid driving licence Organised with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment Passionate about providing high-quality guest experiences

Pay: 16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 21 - 28 per week
