We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food and beverage service, and a comprehensive understanding of restaurant or hotel environments. Duties
Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff, including servers, kitchen personnel, and baristas, ensuring efficient service delivery
Assist in food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards
Oversee food safety procedures and ensure compliance with health regulations
Manage team schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor staff performance to foster a motivated work environment
Support the training and development of new team members in hospitality standards and operational procedures
Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and service areas
Assist in inventory management, including stock ordering and control of supplies
Contribute to menu planning and product presentation in collaboration with head chefs or culinary teams
Support the management team in administrative duties such as reporting, payroll, and compliance documentation
Requirements
Proven experience in restaurant or hotel environments, ideally with supervisory or team management responsibilities
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards
Knowledge of food production processes and kitchen operations
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
Previous experience serving customers in hospitality settings such as restaurants or bars is highly desirable
Familiarity with culinary techniques, food safety regulations, and hospitality best practices
Organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
A proactive attitude with excellent communication skills and a professional demeanour
Experience in supervising staff within a fast-paced environment such as a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred
