We're looking for an enthusiastic and reliable

Assistant Manager

to join our growing team at Sky Blue Tavern. You'll help oversee daily operations across the bar, restaurant, and event spaces. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with strong leadership skills and a background in hospitality.

Responsibilities:

Support the General Manager in running daily operations Lead and supervise front-of-house staff, ensuring excellent customer service Ensure smooth service during peak periods, including match days and private events Assist with scheduling, training, and staff performance management Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and manage inventory Handle cashing up, banking, and till reconciliation Maintain high standards of hygiene, health & safety, and licensing compliance Ensure that customers are having a great experience, resolving any issues quickly Help plan and coordinate private parties, match-day events, and promotions Perform general administrative tasks and reporting as needed

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience in a supervisor or assistant manager role (hospitality or similar) A passion for customer service and hospitality Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Flexible availability - must be able to work evenings, weekends, and match days Good organisational and administrative skills A love for football and familiarity with Coventry City FC is a plus!
