We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food and service, and a background in restaurant or hotel environments. This role involves supporting the management team in daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The Assistant Manager will play a vital role in supervising staff, overseeing food preparation, and fostering a positive team environment.
Duties
Assist in managing daily restaurant or hotel operations to ensure smooth service delivery
Supervise and support team members, including serving staff, kitchen personnel, and baristas
Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards
Coordinate food production processes to meet quality and timing expectations
Lead by example in delivering excellent hospitality and customer service
Assist with staff training and development programmes
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all departments
Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels
Support management in organising shifts, schedules, and operational tasks
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
Experience in food safety standards and food production processes
Leadership qualities with excellent team management skills
Familiarity with hospitality industry practices including serving, barista work, and general customer service
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Previous experience in culinary roles or hotel management is highly desirable
A proactive attitude with excellent communication skills
