Responsibilities

Assist in overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficient service and food preparation. Supervise staff members, providing guidance and support to foster a positive work environment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas. Participate in food production and preparation, demonstrating culinary skills as needed. Train new employees on restaurant procedures, cooking techniques, and customer service standards. Manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as necessary to maintain operational efficiency. Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times. Collaborate with the management team to develop strategies for improving service quality and operational efficiency.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food safety practices. Culinary experience is highly desirable, along with knowledge of food production processes. Background in serving or barista roles is beneficial for enhancing customer service experiences. Exceptional leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and promote a positive work culture. Familiarity with kitchen operations and equipment maintenance is advantageous. Previous experience in hotels or similar establishments will be considered an asset.
