We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant-pub environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills with a passion for food and drink. You will work closely with our General Manager and Head Chef to ensure that business operates smoothly while maintaining high standards and quality. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, assisting in food preparation, and providing exceptional service to our customers.
Responsibilities
Support the General Manager in the overall operation of the venue
Lead and supervise the front-of-house team during busy service
Deliver excellent guest service and maintain high standards at all times
Assist with staff training, rota planning, and performance management
Ensure bar and restaurant areas are clean, stocked, and well-presented
Help manage stock levels, ordering, and supplier relationships
Take responsibility for cash handling, end-of-day procedures, and compliance
Contribute to events planning and promotions
Be a positive ambassador for the brand and maintain a fun, professional team environment
Skills
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant setting.
Strong leadership abilities with excellent team management skills.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food preparation.
Experience in cooking, bartending, or other relevant areas of food production is advantageous.
Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and customers.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on enhancing operational efficiency.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends & bank holidays
Personal license (desirable but not essential)
A genuine love for hospitality & a hands-on attitude
