We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive restaurant or hotel experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
Assist the Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth functioning
Supervise and motivate team members, including front-of-house and kitchen staff, to deliver outstanding service
Support food preparation and cooking activities, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards
Manage food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
Oversee food production processes, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
Serve as a point of contact for customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly
Assist in training new staff members and conducting performance reviews
Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage inventory control
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and service areas in accordance with hygiene standards
Support event planning and special functions when required
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hospitality, or hotel environment
Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example
Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
Knowledge of food production processes and kitchen operations
Previous experience serving customers in a hospitality setting is desirable
Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills
Familiarity with health regulations related to food safety and hygiene standards
Experience in culinary arts or hospitality management is advantageous
Additional skills such as barista experience or hotel experience are considered beneficial
