We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food service, and the ability to oversee team performance effectively. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting with staff supervision, ensuring food safety compliance, and maintaining high-quality service delivery.
Responsibilities
Assist in managing daily restaurant, ensuring smooth workflow and exceptional guest experiences
Supervise and motivate team members, including front-of-house and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to meet quality standards and safety regulations
Coordinate food production activities, ensuring timely delivery of orders and efficient utilisation of resources
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations across all departments
Support staff training programmes, including onboarding new employees and ongoing development initiatives
Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction
Assist in inventory management, stock control, and ordering supplies as needed
Promote teamwork, leadership, and hospitality excellence within the organisation
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
Knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes
Previous experience in serving or hospitality roles is advantageous
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail in food presentation and service quality
Experience with restaurant or culinary management is preferred
Ability to work under pressure during busy periods while maintaining professionalism
Relevant qualifications in hospitality management or culinary arts are desirable
