We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting daily operations within a vibrant restaurant & hotel environment. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining exceptional customer service.
Duties
Assist the management team in overseeing daily restaurant & hotel operations, ensuring smooth service delivery
Supervise and motivate team members, including front-of-house and kitchen staff, to achieve high standards of performance
Support food preparation and cooking activities, ensuring quality and presentation meet company standards
Manage food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
Coordinate food production processes to optimise efficiency and minimise waste
Oversee serving staff during shifts, ensuring excellent customer service experiences
Assist with training new staff members and ongoing professional development programmes
Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally, aiming for prompt resolution
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and service areas
Support inventory management, including stock control and ordering supplies as needed
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
Experience in food production and kitchen operations is highly desirable
Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in service delivery
Background in hospitality or restaurant experience preferred; barista or serving experience is advantageous
Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour suitable for customer-facing roles
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
