The Assistant Manager will play a key role in maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, as well as fostering a positive work environment for all staff.
Responsibilities
Assist in overseeing daily operations within the kitchen and front-of-house areas, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
Provide leadership and guidance to team members, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
Support the management team in training new staff on culinary techniques, hospitality practices, and customer service excellence.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Help resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally to maintain high guest satisfaction.
Participate in menu planning and food preparation, contributing creative ideas to enhance the dining experience.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the establishment.
Assist with scheduling staff shifts and managing labour costs effectively.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a culinary or hospitality environment is essential, with a focus on team management.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused approach.
Experience in bartending or managing bar operations is an advantage.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs.
