We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic hospitality team. Responsibilities
Assist the management team in coordinating daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and high standards of service.
Supervise and support team members, including front-of-house staff such as servers, baristas, and kitchen personnel.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to recipes, presentation standards, and food safety regulations.
Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor performance to foster a motivated and cohesive team environment.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly food safety standards across all areas of operation.
Assist with training new staff members in service procedures, food handling, and hospitality protocols.
Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally, aiming to resolve issues promptly while maintaining excellent service standards.
Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients, supplies, and equipment; coordinate with suppliers as necessary.
Contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere that promotes guest satisfaction and repeat business.
Skills
Proven experience in supervising within a restaurant or hospitality setting; previous restaurant experience is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working environment.
Leadership qualities with experience in supervising teams across various roles such as serving, kitchen work, or barista duties.
Familiarity with food production processes and kitchen operations; hotel or hospitality experience is advantageous.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and guests alike.
