The Role



We are looking for a proactive Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in the smooth running of our small, busy office. This is a varied, hands-on role covering customer service, HR, finance admin, and scheduling. No two days are the same - you'll need to think on your feet, juggle priorities, and keep everything moving efficiently.

Key Responsibilities



Act as first point of contact for customers, suppliers, and staff (calls, emails, post). Maintain customer and staff records using Tagtronics and Sage. Support weekly payroll and invoicing processes. Enter supplier invoices and reconcile petty cash, credit card expenditure, and laundry charges. Assist with scheduling of cleaning rotas and new starter onboarding. Maintain HR files and process leave requests. Carry out occasional property checks or cleaning visits during peak periods. Provide general office and admin support to the General Manager. Provide weekend on-call telephone cover for guest emergencies.

Essential Skills & Experience



Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise under pressure. Confident communicator with a professional and friendly manner. Solid admin background with good IT skills (email, Excel, databases). Previous experience in office administration, HR or finance functions. Must have own car (free parking provided + mileage allowance).

Desirable



Experience with Sage and/or Tagtronics systems. Local knowledge of the New Forest area.

Package



Salary: 27,000 + pension. Full-time hours with

1 in 4 weekends telephone on-call cover

(extra 100 per on-call weekend). 4 weeks holiday + statuatory Bank holidays. Company mobile phone. Start date: October 2025.
