We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our hospitality team. Duties
Assist in the daily management of the restaurant or hotel operations, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent customer service
Supervise and motivate team members, including front-of-house staff such as servers, baristas, and kitchen personnel
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality standards are met
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across all areas
Support in training new staff members and ongoing professional development of existing team members
Manage reservations, organise staffing schedules, and coordinate service delivery during shifts
Handle guest enquiries or complaints professionally, aiming for swift resolution and high satisfaction levels
Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels
Promote a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, leadership, and hospitality excellence
Experience
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hotel setting is essential
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food production is highly desirable
Experience in managing teams in fast-paced environments such as restaurants or hospitality establishments
Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations is required
Previous roles involving serving customers or hospitality duties will be advantageous
Familiarity with culinary techniques, restaurant management systems, and barista experience are considered beneficial
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative team atmosphere
