With 80 covers inside and a further 100 outside, we're a busy, vibrant pub that prides itself on warm, friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere. We offer

, so you'll need to have a natural flair for customer care and be confident leading a team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
As Assistant Manager, you'll report directly to the General Manager and play a key role in the day-to-day running of the pub. You'll understand
KPI management and budgets
, be organised and proactive, and have a "can-do, will-do" approach to every challenge. Strong communication skills are essential - you'll be the bridge between our team, management, and our valued guests.

Duties
Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and adherence to policies.
Supervise and train staff in culinary skills, food preparation techniques, and customer service excellence.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and presentation.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, striving for resolution and satisfaction.
Support team management by fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and growth.
Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
Participate in staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
Skills
Proven leadership abilities to effectively manage a team and motivate staff towards achieving common goals.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with both customers and team members.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Experience in hotel or hospitality management is advantageous but not essential.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with a willingness to help others succeed.
