We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our hospitality team. The Assistant Manager will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction within our establishment.
Responsibilities
Assist the Manager in overseeing daily restaurant or hotel operations to ensure smooth functioning.
Supervise and motivate team members, including waiting staff, kitchen personnel, and baristas, fostering a positive working environment.
Coordinate food preparation and cooking activities, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
Monitor food safety compliance and maintain hygiene standards in accordance with health regulations.
Manage food production processes to optimise efficiency while maintaining quality control.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
Assist with staff scheduling, training programmes, and performance evaluations to support team development.
Ensure compliance with licensing laws regarding alcohol service if applicable.
Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as necessary.
Contribute to marketing initiatives and promotional activities to attract new customers.
Experience
Proven supervisory experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Extensive culinary background with skills in food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards.
Experience in team management, including training and motivating staff members.
Knowledge of hospitality operations such as serving, barista duties, or hotel services is advantageous.
Familiarity with food production processes and kitchen workflows.
Previous experience in restaurant or hotel settings is highly desirable.
Strong leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
