Assistant Manager

Job Overview:

Are you a people-person with experience in hospitality? We are looking for welcoming person, to fit our countryside pub, with a brilliant team to work alongside you.

We're a country pub and restaurant where we aim for locals, visitors and furry friends are all made to feel right at home. Seasonal menus, fun events for 2026 in the pipeline and a desire to hear about your new ideas too.

As our assistant manager, you'll be there to ensure every person who walks through our doors leaves with a smile. You'll support the Front of House Manager (and owners) in keeping everything running smoothly.

Job Role:

Ensuring brilliant service: greeting guests, anticipating needs, and making everyone feel welcome Supporting the daily operations of the front of house: from service to team communication Leading and inspiring our friendly team Helping train, coach and develop staff Assisting with events support and shift supervision Helping handle guest feedback with professionalism Pitching in with all jobs, we are one big team Assist in hotel operations to ensure smooth running Ensure food standards remain high, ensuring quality is consistent Maintain a clean and organised work environment in line with health and safety standards

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in hospitality or management (gastro pub/restaurant experience a bonus) Love working with people as part of a team Are organised, calm under pressure and a natural problem-solver Enjoy leading by example Care deeply about guest experience
The job role will be around 35 hours (open to negotiation).

Salary is also negotiable depending on experience.
