We are seeking a motivated and organised Assistant Operations Manager to support the day-to-day running of our quartz fabrication and kitchen makeover operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing, installation scheduling, or home improvement, with strong organisational and people management skills.
Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will help coordinate the factory, installation, and customer service teams to ensure all projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Duties
Assist the Operations Manager in overseeing daily operations across the factory, logistics, and installation departments.
Help manage production schedules to ensure timely delivery of customer projects.
Support and motivate team members across departments, promoting a positive, safety-conscious, and efficient work environment.
Maintain and monitor quality control for quartz fabrication and kitchen installations.
Oversee inventory control, including raw materials, consumables, and equipment maintenance.
Communicate effectively with surveyors, fitters, and customer care staff to ensure smooth project delivery and high customer satisfaction.
Help identify areas for process improvement and assist in implementing operational efficiencies.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety and company standards.
Experience and Skills
Previous experience in an operations, production, or project coordination role within manufacturing, construction, or home improvement.
Strong understanding of workflow planning, scheduling, and logistics.
Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple teams.
Experience with quality assurance and health & safety compliance.
Knowledge of quartz, granite, or solid surface fabrication and/or kitchen installations is highly desirable.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
