We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team and help us continue to elevate the standard of live entertainment in the region.

As the Assistant Manager at Engine Rooms, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the venue. You will work closely with the Venue Manager to ensure smooth and efficient operations, exceptional customer service, and compliance with all relevant regulations. Your leadership will help create a vibrant atmosphere that attracts both patrons and performers.

Key Responsibilities:



- Assist the Venue Manager in overseeing all aspects of venue operations, including bar management, event coordination, and staff supervision.

- Ensure compliance with UK licensing laws and health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for staff and guests.

- Lead, motivate, and develop the bar and event staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.

- Manage scheduling and staffing to ensure adequate coverage during peak times, including nights and weekends.

- Address customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

- Assist in planning and executing events, including liaising with artists, promoters, and vendors.

- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure the bar and venue are well-stocked.

- Collaborate with marketing and promotions teams to enhance the venue's visibility and attract new audiences.

- Conduct regular inspections of the venue to ensure cleanliness, organization, and adherence to operational standards.

Qualifications:



- Proven experience in the nightlife and entertainment industry, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or management role.

- Strong understanding of UK licensing laws and regulations.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills.

- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to accommodate events and peak times.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Proficiency in financial management and budgeting for bar and event operations.

- A passion for live music and entertainment is a plus.
