Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar, ensuring an exceptional guest experience while maintaining high standards of service. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and restaurant management, with a passion for culinary excellence and leadership. This role requires a hands-on approach to supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage bar operations, ensuring a high level of service and guest satisfaction. Supervise and train bar staff in hospitality best practices, drink preparation, and customer service. Develop and implement innovative drink menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences. Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimising waste. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards. Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner to enhance guest experience. Monitor financial performance of the bar, including sales targets and cost control measures.

Experience

Proven experience in a bar management or supervisory role within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Knowledge of food/bar safety regulations and best practices in food preparation. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
