We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team within the Sport and Management industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, management experience and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily operations, support staff, and ensure the highest standards are maintained. This is a full time position suitable for individuals who are interested in being part of a thriving community hub.
Administrative & Finance:
Assist with day-to-day financial tasks, including invoicing, banking, and budget monitoring.
Maintain accurate records and reports using club management systems.
Update and manage club systems, including scheduling, memberships, and staff records.
Operations & Health & Safety:
Conduct regular health and safety checks across the club, including equipment and facility inspections.
Manage stock levels, including gymnastics equipment, uniforms, and office supplies.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and safeguarding policies.
Customer Service & Reception Management:
Manage the reception area, including greeting members, answering queries, and handling calls and emails.
Provide excellent customer service, ensuring members and visitors feel valued and supported.
Support the smooth running of classes and events by coordinating with coaches and staff.
Team Support & Leadership:
Support the Club Manager in staff supervision and scheduling.
Assist in onboarding and training new staff members.
Step in to resolve operational or customer issues as needed.
Preferred:
Previous experience in a management or supervisory role, ideally in sports, leisure, or childcare settings.
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Excellent communication, IT and customer service skills.
Basic financial knowledge and comfortable working with budgets and reports.
Understanding of health and safety regulations within a sports environment.
Proficiency in using management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
