We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our hospitality team. This role involves supporting the management team in daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and service are maintained across our restaurant or hotel establishment. The Assistant Manager will play a vital role in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring smooth operational flow.
Duties
Assist in overseeing daily restaurant or hotel operations, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met
Supervise and support team members, including training and mentoring staff in food preparation, serving, and hospitality practices
Coordinate food production activities, ensuring timely delivery of dishes that meet quality standards
Monitor food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
Manage staff schedules, organise shifts, and optimise staffing levels to meet customer demand
Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction
Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and placing orders for supplies as needed
Assist in implementing promotional activities and special events to enhance customer experience
Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, dining area, or hotel premises
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
Strong team management abilities with excellent leadership qualities
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards
Experience in food production, kitchen operations, or hotel management is highly desirable
Familiarity with restaurant service procedures and hospitality best practices
Ability to organise multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Excellent communication skills with a professional approach to customer service
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop staff members
Knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance requirements
Previous experience in culinary roles such as chef assistant or barista experience is advantageous
