The Prudential Regulatory Assurance Team is a national team of regulatory experts covering the provision of Prudential Regulatory Assurance services across several core disciplines including capital, liquidity, regulatory reporting, recovery planning and wind-down, public disclosures, stress testing, credit and market risk frameworks, risk appetite and risk management frameworks and interest rate risk in the banking book.
As a member of the team, we will provide you with ongoing support to allow you to grow as a leading specialist in your field.
We are looking for someone who is interested in learning and working across a variety of subject matter that may change with emerging regulatory frameworks. Our ideal candidate will be happy to work across the financial services sector, including banking, investment management and the payments sector.
The work conducted by our Regulatory Assurance Team is varied and so are the responsibilities of team members. We do not expect candidates to cover all of the below responsibilities however responsibilities may include some of the below:
Working on a portfolio of client engagements simultaneously, managing internal and client stakeholders' expectations
Helping clients to anticipate and assess the impact of regulatory change
Providing clients with practical and technical advice on specific elements of the prudential regulatory framework applicable to Banks and FCA MIFPRU and other regulated entities, including within the EU under the CRR/CRD regulations
Undertaking specialist reviews of core regulatory capital/liquidity/leverage calculations, ICAAP/ILAAP documentation and gap analysis of regulatory compliance
Assisting clients in preparing for, and/or addressing follow ups arising from, PRA/FCA/ECB interactions, including SREP/L-SREP themed visits, and in preparing applications for PRA/FCA/ECB authorizations or variations in permissions
Benchmarking clients prudential regulatory frameworks compared with peer/industry practice
Providing subject matter expertise, advice and recommendations on the above topics to help clients anticipate, assess and respond to regulatory requirements;
Developing your critical thinking and other analytical skills in explaining regulatory expectations and their impact for clients, including through:
+ Reviewing and inputting into the enhancement of policies, procedures and other work products; and
+ Completion of Deloitte reviews. Engaging and work effectively in a wide range of teams and alongside subject matter experts across Deloitte to provide clients with the expertise to best meet their needs.

Prudential Regulation is a broad subject matter and therefore we expect that candidates looking to apply for this opportunity will have detailed technical knowledge in one or more areas combined with practical experience in the Prudential Regulatory environment in the financial services industry or the payments sector. This may be from working in another Consulting firm, previously having worked as an Auditor, having been a regulator for financial services firms or having worked in the industry within a regulatory policy, finance, risk, internal audit or regulatory reporting role.
Practical experience in one or more of the following areas is expected:
Liquidity risk management, ILAAP, liquidity regulatory reporting (e.g. NSFR, LCR, PRA110)
Regulatory Capital Rules (CRR), Capital management, capital forecasting or ICAAP
Regulatory Reporting
Stress testing
Credit or Market Risk Management Frameworks
Risk Appetite and Risk Management Frameworks
Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book
Recovery and Resolution Planning or Solvent wind-down
Investment Firm Prudential Regime
Knowledge of the latest regulatory developments in relation to Basel, CRR3/CRD6, UK PRA (e.g. Basel 3.1) and FCA prudential policy and key current prudential issues facing regulated firms, including the New Prudential Regime for Investment Firms, CRR 2/CRD V and Basel IV
E-money and payment services institutions (or adjacent firms such as digital banks/other FinTechs), including but not limited to: the Payment Services Regulations, E-Money Regulations, European Banking Authority Guidelines, and relevant components of the FCA Handbook/Approach Document
Governance, risk or other types of operating frameworks;
