Horizons Residential Care is a well-established residential childcare provider based in the East Coast of Scotland and has been providing therapeutic residential childcare service since 2013. Assistant Manager
Hourly Rate for Assistant Managers is in the range of 14.50 to 18.00. Approx. Salary Range- 30,880 - 38,160 per annum.
Experienced and Fully Qualified (HNC, SVQ3, SVQ4) applicants will be on the following Pay Rate: a minimum 16 per hour, equivalent to an Annual Salary Approx. 34,000.
As an Assistant Manager, you will support the Service Manager in the efficient running of the residential home. You will largely be responsible for assisting the Service Manager in the efficient operational management of the house as well as providing excellent care to the children and young people.
The ideal candidate must have completed SVQ3/HNC and be in the process of studying and completing SVQ4 (Children and Young People/ Leadership and Management) with several years of experience in residential child care.
You will have responsibility for managing a team of staff and must be experienced in motivating and providing support to colleagues when necessary. You will be assisted by Senior Residential Child Care Workers in carrying out the set Duties and Responsibilities. As part of ongoing professional development, you will also be required to highlight training needs, supervision, and rota management and have an excellent understanding of Social Care Standards. Horizons strives to improve efficiency across all operations and you will be expected to contribute in any efficiency drives of the Organisation, including helping achieve appropriate levels of staffing to reflect occupancy in the House.
Upon successful recruitment to the post, you will undergo an intensive programme of Induction and Training.
Essential
Clean Driving Licence
Relevant Experience in the Residential Child Care Sector in a supervisory role.
Able to work unsocial hours, including Weekend and perform on-call duties.
Working hours- You will be working an average of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: SVQ3 Children and Young People and HNC Health and Social Care. The applicant must be willing to work towards an SVQ 4 and Leadership and Management.
