Overview of Role and Requirements
Opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, to include professionals and family members.
Promoting, supporting and empowering children and young people to engage in education, training, or employment
Training and involvement with life story work, restorative justice, and a systemic family-based approach, to embed a truly therapeutic environment.
Holistic promotion of wellbeing, to include emotional, mental and physical health.
Involvement in all aspects of care planning, to include assessments and contextual safeguarding.
Development of life skills to enable our children and young people to understand life post 18 and make positive choices for the future
Working closely with the manager to ensure the home and staff operate in full accordance with all statutory and regulatory standards and requirements.
Staff support and management, to include involvement in recruitment, induction, supervision, and professional development, through the appropriate delegation of duties.
Assist in all aspects of budgetary control relating to the home
Assist in ensuring the effective preparation and implementation of rotas and provision of on call rota.
Preparation and attendance at key meetings, to include strategy meetings.
To ensure staff respond to any child protection concerns appropriately and relevant protocols are followed in respect of recording and reporting procedures.
To assist in holding team meetings and to keep staff fully informed of CFS Cares policies and procedures
Attending to administration duties in relation to the home and the provision of information reports for directors/board of governors and external inspectorates.
Computer literate and driving license.
At least two years within a residential children's provision
Diploma 3 and willingness to complete diploma level 5 in leadership and management within residential children's home settings
Ideally knowledge of mental health, attachment and trauma and the PACE model
