We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our team in a Residential Children's home.
You will support the young people aged between 8-16 years of age with emotional behaviour difficulties (EBD) to maximise their opportunities and strengths and to address their needs by:
Providing a warm and welcoming environment for young people to thrive and achieve their best outcomes.
Providing support and reassurance.
Ensuring an excellent service is delivered at all times.
Encouraging development using life skills.
Providing a safe and secure environment.
Being a positive role model.
Supporting with financial management and budgeting in preparation for adulthood.
Ensuring house administration, daily paper work, petty cash books and recording are to the required standard.
Work closely with external professionals, including Social Workers, Techers and Health care professionals.
Giving your team clear direction and motivation through challenging times.
What you need to succeed:
Enhanced DBS Check
Flexiblity
Full clean UK driving Licence
Level 3/4 Diploma is Residential Childcare or Equivalent
Must be 21 years of age or older
Sleep-ins as required
On-calls as per the rota pattern
Overtime as required
The ability to supervise and develop a dedicated team of staff
Previous experience and knowledge of working with Behavioural and Emotional difficulties and challenging behaviour.
24 months of experience within a care related role
12 months of experience at a senior level
