We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in restaurant management, with experience in both quick service and fine dining environments. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations, manage staff, and enhance the overall dining experience for our guests.
Duties
Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Supervise and train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and customer service best practices.
Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation throughout the kitchen and dining areas.
Provide leadership and direction to team members, fostering a positive work environment.
Assist in budgeting and financial management to optimize profitability.
Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new staff members.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food production and quality control.
Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Experience
Proven experience in restaurant management or as an assistant manager in a fast-paced environment.
Strong background in food service management with knowledge of culinary techniques.
Experience with inventory control, cash handling, and budgeting processes.
Previous supervisory experience is essential, along with skills in training & development of staff.
Background in hospitality management or related fields is advantageous.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is required.
