Key Responsibilities Operations Management: Overseeing daily dispatch, managing courier pickups/deliveries, tracking shipments, and ensuring on-time performance. Team Leadership: Recruiting, training, scheduling, and motivating drivers and operational staff; handling disciplinary issues. Logistics & Fleet: Managing internal/external transport resources, ensuring equipment/facilities are fit for purpose, and coordinating with suppliers. Customer Service: Acting as a point of contact for complex issues, ensuring high-quality service, and building customer rapport. Performance & Compliance: Monitoring KPIs, ensuring health & safety compliance, and implementing new processes or initiatives. Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience in logistics, delivery management, or a similar supervisory role. Strong understanding of route planning and GPS technology. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
