Your Role

As Assistant Manager, you'll be the driving force behind seamless operations and standout customer experiences. You'll support the General Manager in leading the team, smashing targets, and elevating the pub's reputation. Expect busy nights, upbeat music, a fast pace--and the chance to shape The Vineyard's future.

What you'll be doing:

Leading from the front on busy bar and floor shifts Motivating, coaching, and developing staff Ensuring excellent service standards every time Managing stock, compliance, rotas, and cash handling Helping deliver events, promotions and late-night trade Bringing energy, ideas and leadership to every shift Acting as duty manager and keeping the venue running smoothly

You're confident, fun, and thrive in a lively pub or late-night environment. You make guests feel welcome, teams feel supported, and busy shifts feel effortless.

Requirements:

? Experience in a supervisory or assistant manager position within hospitality (pub, bar, or late-night venue preferred)
? Strong leadership skills and confidence managing a busy front-of-house
? Ability to remain calm, organised, and positive under pressure
? A passion for great service, great atmosphere, and great people
? Knowledge of stock control, rota planning, and venue compliance
? Flexibility for evening, weekend, and late-night shifts
? A proactive, can-do attitude with a desire to grow and develop

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.50-14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
