We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food and beverage service, and a solid background in restaurant or hotel operations. This role involves supporting the management team in ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining high standards of food safety and service, and supervising staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Duties
Assist in overseeing daily restaurant or hotel operations, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met.
Supervise and support team members, including training new staff and managing schedules.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety policies across all departments.
Support food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining high standards of culinary excellence.
Manage customer service interactions, addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
Coordinate with kitchen staff on food production, presentation, and service timings.
Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to minimise waste.
Assist in implementing promotional activities and special events to enhance guest satisfaction.
Uphold organisational policies related to hospitality, serving standards, and cleanliness.
Support the management team in administrative tasks such as reporting, payroll, and staff appraisals.
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hotel environment.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
Experience in team management, leadership, and staff development.
Familiarity with food production processes and kitchen operations.
Previous hospitality experience including serving or barista roles is advantageous.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
Good communication skills with a professional approach to customer service.
Knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to food service establishments.
A recognised qualification in hospitality management or culinary arts is desirable but not essential.
