PAU Run & Ride Ltd at Trentham Shopping Village is seeking a driven and experienced Assistant Manager with strong supervisory skills and a passion for cycling and/or running. You'll be at the forefront of a growing brand with lots of development opportunity. Day to day, you'll support the Store Manager, lead our retail team, and collaborate with colleagues across the PAU brand and with external partners to promote product ranges and drive successful events.
You'll be thoroughly briefed on our product range, become skilled in undertaking gait analysis and able to confidently advise customers on footwear brand and style choice. You'll focus on driving sales and help deliver all round outstanding customer service across our premium bike, running, and workshop offerings.
There'll be opportunities to get involved with community projects including Project PAU, our cycling academy for 13-18yr olds; Couch to 5k/10k courses throughout the year; PAU Cafe social events, including comedy nights and sports-related celebrity speakers and much more.
Responsibilities
Support and deputise for the Store Manager
Contribute to the leadership of our retail team
Deliver excellent customer service and advise on high-value sales
Collaborate with colleagues across the PAU brand and with external partners to promote product ranges and drive successful events
Assemble new bikes, collect/deliver bikes when needed
Promote store services through community and social media activity
Assist with workshop tasks and service administration
Maintain a clean, efficient store and workshop environment
Requirements
Minimum 2 years' staff supervision
Retail or customer service experience
Strong passion for cycling/running
Excellent communication and organisation skills
Full, clean UK driving licence (transit-van capable)
Desirable
Cytech Level 2 (or equivalent), experience in cycling/running retail, confident using social media.
