Job Summary



We're looking for a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to help oversee daily operations at our Rochford depot. This role involves supporting the Depot Manager in managing the team, maintaining high service standards, and ensuring operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach, strong leadership skills, and a customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities



Assist the Depot Manager in the day-to-day operations of the depot, ensuring smooth and efficient running. Provide exceptional customer service, assisting clients with equipment hires and inquiries. Supervise and support the depot team, including scheduling, training, and performance management. Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced, and available for hire. Monitor stock levels, placing orders as necessary to meet customer demands. Oversee health and safety compliance, ensuring a safe working environment for staff and customers. Handle customer issues and complaints in a professional manner, resolving them efficiently. Assist in achieving sales targets and depot performance goals.

Requirements



Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the tool hire or equipment hire industry. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent customer service and communication abilities. Knowledge of equipment hire, construction tools, or related industries is highly desirable. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks effectively. Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office). Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach to work.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 28,500.00-31,500.00 per year
