Are you a highly organised and communicative professional with a passion for client success? We are seeking a talented Assistant Manager to join Deloitte's flagship Transition Lab programme, delivering unparalleled executive development experiences for our most senior clients.


This is a pivotal role within Deloitte's renowned Transition Lab programme, celebrated as the 'gold standard' for executive development. Our Labs provide highly personalised, confidential workshops that empower senior leaders to navigate new roles, assess capabilities, and plan for the year ahead. With recent investment and the launch of new digitalised facilities, we are significantly expanding our capacity. The Assistant Manager will be a critical 'execution engine', working closely with Lab Managers to deliver these high-impact client experiences.

Key skills and experience required:




The successful applicant will demonstrate the following:

Project management support:

Proven ability to support multiple projects simultaneously, with meticulous attention to detail and seamless operation in a fast-paced environment. Highly organised with initiative to prioritise and seek guidance.

Stakeholder management:

Excellent coordination skills and experience in supporting complex relationships and managing competing demands. Client-facing experience is desirable.

Communication & relationship building:

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build robust internal relationships and confidently interact with Deloitte Partners.

Content and tech proficiency:

A keen interest and proven ability to quickly learn new technologies and software platforms. Skilled in synthesising complex information into clear, concise content while under pressure.

Teamwork and collaboration:

Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating initiative, self-motivation, and a results-oriented approach. A strong desire to deliver high-quality work and proactively support team success is essential.

Business acumen:

A genuine curiosity about client issues and a willingness to actively learn and understand them. Previous experience with the Transition Lab programme is desirable.

Responsibilities:



This dynamic role requires drive, commitment, and resilience, involving diverse responsibilities and stakeholders:

End-to-end Lab support:

Provide comprehensive support to Lab Managers across the entire Lab lifecycle, from initial kick-off calls to post-Lab follow-up communications, managing 10-15 Labs concurrently.

Digital onboarding & briefings:

Deliver clear, high-quality in-person and virtual sessions to brief Lab team members on their roles and navigation of the Digital Lab space.

Client stakeholder coordination:

Lead the coordination of essential client stakeholder calls, including agreeing on team roles, briefing executive assistants, and ensuring timely completion of tasks. Join the stakeholder calls where necessary and capture key insights.

Impactful content development:

Draft tailored Lab content, incorporating client materials and synthesising stakeholder interview notes into key themes and priorities for Manager review.

Live content creator:

During a Lab session, capture and synthesise relevant content live using bespoke software and ensuring any technical issues are resolved seamlessly without any impact on the client experience.

Post-Lab delivery:

Ensure the timely delivery of critical post-Lab reflection letters, vital for client value realisation.

This role offers exposure to senior stakeholders and clients providing invaluable experience in a high-impact programme. The insights gained will be hugely beneficial in terms of wider business acumen and awareness of key business issues.

Our hybrid working policy




You'll be based in Manchester with hybrid working.


This role will support our regional Lab delivery and will be required onsite to deliver these in person Transition Labs from 8am at times. This will be across a number of Deloitte office locations, including (but not limited to), Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Bristol.


As most Labs take place in our dedicated area in 1 New Street Square, London, the Transition Lab Assistant Manager will be required onsite to join team meetings from time to time and will also train up in the Lab producer role by attend training and client Transition Labs in London. At other times, it will be possible to work more flexibly.
