About The Pub/Venue:
VIVA is a vibrant, well-established multi-activity venue spread across four exciting levels, offering axe throwing, street golf, interactive darts, and an arcade. Part of the family-run East Street Pub Company, VIVA combines a clear vision with a strong commitment to creating unforgettable guest experiences.

Role Overview:
We're looking for an Assistant Manager to join our well-established and thriving team. This is a hands-on, dynamic role where your leadership, quick thinking, and expertise will play a vital part in driving the venue's continued success. Foster, manage and inspire a large team of staff, ensuring all are trained to perform at their best maintaining a productive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

? Assist the Pub Manager in recruiting, training, and motivating a team of bar, kitchen, and front-of-house staff.

? Help foster a positive work environment that promotes staff morale and retention.

? Act as a role model by delivering exceptional customer service and inspiring the team to do the same.

? Supervise and coordinate the team during shifts, ensuring smooth operations.

Operations Management:

? Help oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with licensing laws and health and safety regulations.

? Support the smooth execution of regular events, including bottomless brunches and the activities aspect of the venue

? Work with the kitchen team and Pub Manager to ensure food and drink offerings meet quality standards.

? Take charge of the pub during the Pub Manager's absence, including opening and closing duties and decision-making responsibilities.

Customer Experience:

? Build strong relationships with customers to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.

? Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally and efficiently.

Financial Management:

? Assist in stock control, ordering, and monitoring usage to minimize waste.

? Support the Pub Manager in cash handling, record-keeping, and financial reporting as needed.

Marketing & Promotions:

? Drive footfall through effective marketing, social media presence, and seasonal promotions, working with your manager and our internal team to develop and implement creative ideas for events and activities to attract both locals and visitors.

Requirements:

? Previous experience in a management role within the hospitality industry.

? Previous experience in handling bookings, events or parties within the sector

? Strong and confident communication and interpersonal skills.

? Ability to lead and motivate a team.

? A good understanding of licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and stock management.

? A passion for delivering great customer experiences.

? Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.

? Previous kitchen experience at a basic or otherwise level

? Independent and critical thinking skills are essential

? A sound understanding of basic technology, use of laptops, emails, tablets and universal software and programs,
