We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid background in food service and management. The Assistant Manager will support the management team in overseeing daily activities, supervising staff, and maintaining exceptional customer experiences.
Duties
Assist in managing daily operations of the restaurant or hospitality venue, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met
Supervise and motivate team members, including front-of-house and kitchen staff, fostering a positive working environment
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high culinary standards
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Support in training new staff and conducting ongoing professional development for existing team members
Manage customer service issues promptly and professionally to uphold guest satisfaction
Assist with inventory management, stock control, and ordering supplies as needed
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of ingredients and equipment
Contribute to menu planning and development in collaboration with the head chef or culinary team
Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, reporting, and maintaining operational records
Experience
Proven supervisory experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
Experience in food safety protocols and food production processes
Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
Previous experience in restaurant or hotel settings is highly desirable
Knowledge of serving procedures, hospitality standards, and customer service excellence
Familiarity with barista or bar service experience is advantageous but not essential
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
