We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Manager to join our team at our Cafe at Shoreditch branch . The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that all aspects of food production and service meet our high standards. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for food safety, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Duties
Assist in managing daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth service and adherence to quality standards.
Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate food preparation activities to maintain efficiency and productivity.
having barister skills is additional bonus
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and best practices throughout all stages of food production.
Train and mentor team members in hospitality practices, food preparation techniques, and kitchen operations.
Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste.
Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance their dining experience.
Collaborate with the management team to achieve operational goals and improve service delivery.
Experience
Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or restaurant industry is essential.
Strong knowledge of food production processes, kitchen operations, and health & safety regulations.
Proven ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
Experience in food preparation and cooking is advantageous but not mandatory.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
