We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic hospitality team. The Assistant Manager will be instrumental in supervising staff, managing food production, and maintaining smooth operational flow across all departments.
Duties
Oversee daily restaurant or hotel operations, ensuring efficiency and high standards of service
Supervise and support team members, including training and mentoring staff in food preparation, serving, and hospitality procedures
Assist in managing food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
Coordinate food production activities, including cooking and food presentation to meet quality standards
Support the management of kitchen operations, including inventory control and stock replenishment
Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain excellent guest relations
Assist with staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and maintaining a positive work environment
Contribute to menu planning and development in collaboration with culinary staff
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and service areas at all times
Support promotional activities and uphold brand standards across all customer touchpoints
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hotel setting
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production
Experience in team management with excellent leadership skills
Familiarity with hospitality operations including serving, barista duties, or bar management is desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Strong communication skills and a professional demeanour
Previous experience in culinary roles such as chef assistant or kitchen supervisor is advantageous
A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and fostering team development
