We are on the lookout for a Assistant Night Manager to join our bunch.

We are looking for a full time Assistant Night Manager to join our bunch to support the Night Manager in leading the small Nights team.

The Assistant Night Manager Role

We are now looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Night Manager to join our small nights team. The role is really diverse and involves various tasks including processing accounts and closing end of day business, help with conference rooms set ups, checking in guests and handling guest queries. Must be comfortable dealing with guests face to face and on the telephone and be computer literate.

Reporting to the Night Manager, this role will be required to work closely with all associated departments such as Reception, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage and Conference & Banqueting, to ensure that we deliver an excellent stay to remember for our guests thus encouraging their return.

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable it is not essential as full training will be given. What matters most is having an out-going personality to liaise with guests, being confident with numerical data to process the night audit figures for revenues etc., and having a general knowledge of health and safety.

Summary of the job role & purpose:

To ensure a smooth and efficient operation and co-ordination of the Night team by providing a highly personalized service ensuring maximum guest satisfaction and adhering to the standard required by the hotel.

Main Responsibilities:

To take responsibility for the safety and welfare of all guests and staff in the hotel during the nights. To be fully conversant with the Hotel Emergency and Evacuation procedures. Ensure consistently high standards of presentation are maintained for the department, product and all personnel on duty. Ensure all legal, health and safety standards are adhered to, including provisions of the Licensing Act. Dealing with any crises / incidents according to standard guidelines. To ensure the smooth operation of the night shift. To oversee all operating departments during the night. Support the Night Receptionists in their nightly work. Deal with guests complaints and ensure prompt satisfaction of the guest. Carry out daily closing and a data backup of the software system for Reception and Accounting. Carry out regular rounds and check all areas of the hotel. Ensure good co-operation and regular exchange of information with all departments. Document all significant events during the night in the logbook which is passed on to the day team. Assist setting up of meeting rooms when necessary.
