We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Operations Manager to support our operational team in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our daily activities. This role is essential in assisting with the management of operational processes, improving productivity, and maintaining high standards of service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments.
Duties
Assist in overseeing daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in all processes.
Collaborate with team members to develop and implement operational strategies that align with company goals.
Monitor performance metrics and analyse data to identify areas for improvement.
Support the Operations Manager in managing budgets, resources, and inventory levels.
Facilitate communication between departments to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
Train and mentor staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional development.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
Participate in project management initiatives to drive operational improvements.
Investigate and Respond positively and promptly to customer complaints.
Monitor walk round checks and ensure they are correctly recorded by the drivers.
Ensure defects are logged correctly with the Garage.
Audit stock levels.
Ensure all vehicles are fuelled & cleaned to required standard including vehicles for MOT.
Qualifications
Proven experience in an operations management role or similar position is preferred.
PCV Licence.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on teamwork.
Proficient in using operational software and Microsoft Office Suite.
A problem-solving mindset with the ability to think critically under pressure.
Knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory requirements is advantageous.
