Harvey's Bakehouse is a small, independent bakery located in South West London. We are a young and energetic team who specialise in handcrafted pastries, viennoiserie, and cakes. We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic

Assistant Pastry Chef

to support our Head of Pastry in the production of our signature products.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Head Pastry Chef in the preparation and production of all pastries and baked goods Support with dough lamination (croissant and puff pastry) and shaping of a variety of pastries Help produce viennoiserie items including cookies, brownies, cakes, and other baked goods Decorate cakes to a high standard Follow recipes accurately to ensure product consistency and quality Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety at all times Communicate effectively with the Head Pastry Chef and wider team to ensure smooth service Be open to learning and developing new skills

Skills & Experience:

Previous experience in a pastry kitchen or bakery (preferred) Basic knowledge of dough lamination techniques and pastry production Basic cake decorating skills Attention to detail and a passion for producing high-quality baked goods Food Safety Level 2 certification (or willingness to obtain) Allergen awareness and understanding of food safety procedures A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn from others
