About this opportunity:
The UK Payroll is made up of seven manufacturing payrolls for sites based across the UK. As the Assistant Payroll Manager, you will join a small, friendly team of four where your primary responsibility will be to process the centralised and EMEA payroll for Crown Packaging and Crown Packaging Services EMEA. You may also support additional payrolls as needed.
Main responsibilities:
Accurate and timely delivery of the monthly payrolls of approximately 500 employees
Manual calculations of Tax and NIC, if required
Processing and payroll administration of the company pension scheme
Processing of all Statutory payments
Payroll related finance tasks including journals and balancing control accounts
The assist the Payroll Manager and supervise when required in their absence
Provide support with project activity as required
Required
education, qualifications and experience:
Minimum of 3 years payroll experience
Supervisory experience
Experience of high-volume multi-site payrolls
Working knowledge of UK Tax and NIC
Understanding of pension auto enrolment
Required skills and competencies:
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Strong numerical skills
Highly accurate and careful
Effective team collaborator
