The British Ironwork Centre is now looking for a proactive

Assistant Photographer

to work with our lead photographer.

The Role:

You will support the in-house photography and videography lead by assisting with product shoots, post-production tasks, managing image assets, and contributing to content that showcases the craftsmanship of the company. You'll work closely with the senior Photographer & Videographer and Marketing/Online Projects teams.

What You'll Be Doing:

Assist with setting up photography shoots: lighting, background, staging pieces (indoor & outdoor) Help with product and lifestyle photography: preparing items, cleaning, positioning, ensuring products look at their best Operate/assist with cameras under supervision Perform image editing: colour correction, cropping, retouching backgrounds (using software such as Adobe Lightroom/Photoshop) Upload and manage image assets in the company's digital asset management system and ensure files are correctly named, tagged & stored Assist with videography tasks when needed Support logistics: transporting equipment, moving heavy items safely, collaborating with warehouse/works teams Ensure all health & safety standards are adhered to on-site Occasionally assist with off-site shoots as required

What You'll Bring to the Table:

A passion for photography and a portfolio demonstrating your skills Basic image-editing skills (Adobe Lightroom/Photoshop) Good attention to detail, organised workflow and ability to manage deadlines Physically able to handle moving items, equipment, and working in industrial/showroom environment Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams (marketing, production, warehouse) Reliable, punctual, and flexible
