London, with occasional travel to Ipswich. Successful candidate must be prepared to travel to the London office 2-3 days per week, if required, and on occasion to Suffolk and Bristol.

Procurement Assistant Manager

to help shape that journey.

About the Role

You'll play a key role in delivering end-to-end procurement activities (source to contract) across SZC's Corporate Functions. You'll support the development and execution of procurement strategies, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure compliance with governance frameworks--all while driving continuous improvement and best practice.


This is a unique opportunity to be part of a high-impact project from the ground up, helping to build a fair, transparent, and commercially robust procurement environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support procurement processes from strategy to contract award. Manage commercial aspects of contracts during execution. Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders to support pipeline development. Ensure compliance with SZC's procurement policies and governance. Collaborate with legal teams on contract terms and NDAs. Develop RFP/RFQ packages and manage supplier engagement. Maintain accurate procurement records and reporting dashboards. Drive lessons learned and continuous improvement across procurement activities.

What We're Looking For

Experience in a procurement role. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Experience in corporate functions procurement and contract negotiation. Solid understanding of commercial law and contractual terms. Proven ability to manage high-value, multi-disciplinary contracts. Member or student member of CIPS (preferred). Experience working in cross-functional teams and advising senior management.

Sizewell C Limited (Sizewell C) is nuclear site licensed company whose business is to design, finance, construct, commission, operate, maintain, and eventually decommission the nuclear power plant and related infrastructure at Sizewell C in Suffolk. Sizewell C was formerly under the majority ownership of the EDF Group but is currently majority owned by HM Government and operates as an independent company.
