Position Purpose:




The Assistant Procurement Manager supports the Group Parts & Energy Procurement Leader in identifying and managing suppliers, optimizing procurement processes, and ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and services. The role focuses on administrative support, maintaining supplier relationships, and conducting market research. The Assistant Procurement Manager contributes to achieving sourcing goals and assists in implementing the sourcing strategy.

Key Responsibilities:




Supporting the Sourcing Process

Instrumental in creating a 'Single parts list', (including photo and/or schematic drawings of parts, DNA), that aligns across Europe and maintain same through constant change. Ensure single parts table is updated as a consequence of the manufacture substitution/development and become the focal point for such communications (externally & internally). Assist in developing and executing sourcing strategies and daily procurement activities. Coordinate request for quotations, prepare quotes, and support contract negotiations.

Supplier Management and Relationship Maintenane.

Maintain contact with existing suppliers and communicate regarding parts list, price adjustments and warranty cases. Assist in building strong relationships with strategic suppliers and contribute to supplier performance evaluations. Support Group Parts & Energy Procurement Leader in maintaining strong relationships with strategic suppliers.

Cost Management and Market Analysis

Conduct market research to identify new trends and opportunities in the market. Assist with cost analyses and maintain price comparisons to promote cost-efficiency. Report on cost-saving opportunities and support the development of cost optimization initiatives.

Project and Process Improvement Support

Participate in sourcing projects, such as process optimization and sustainability initiatives. Contribute to the implementation of sourcing software and digital tools that improve the efficiency of sourcing processes. Actively participate in internal meetings and propose ideas for sourcing process improvements.

Administrative and Reporting Tasks

Ensure accurate documentation of sourcing and procurement records, such as quotations, and contracts. Track KPIs and assist in preparing reports for management. Track supplier performance including rebates. Support compliance with internal procurement guidelines and regulations.

Requirements:



Secondary vocational education in Procurement, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. Background in Truck, Trailer and/or Automotive branches. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in working in parts business and/or parts workshop. Experience with ERP and procurement software is a plus, specially in Dynamics D365. Strong administrative and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills in English additional languages preferred.
