Role Overview



Reporting to the Senior Procurement Partner, the


Assistant Procurement Partner will support the


function to deliver the Procurement Strategy,


ensuring maximum business and customer benefit


from our suppliers and supply chain, both in relation


to achieving commercial advantage and delivering


our strategic business aims.





Responsibilities will include, but are not



limited to:



Support the Procurement team with new
procurement initiatives, including RFx processes.
Act as the super user for all procurement systems
and processes.
Undertake reporting and analysis, for both regular
and ad hoc reporting requirements.
Delivering tenders, in accordance with relevant
policies, ensuring value for money and


appropriate due diligence has been undertaken.
Deliver the supplier onboarding processes,
including appropriate due diligence, ensuring that


suppliers meet the Grainger minimum standards
Provide administrative support in the
segmentation of suppliers, and in accordance


with the supplier management framework
Act as the point of contact for the business in
relation to suppliers
Undertaking appropriate spend analysis to
understand potential opportunities,
Delivering improved supply chain performance,
focused on business continuity, customer service


and ESG.

Desired Skills & Experience:



MCIPS qualified or studying towards. An understanding of procurement
processes and strategy.
Procurement and or Supply Chain
experience gained in a relevant industry, on


either the provider or client side of the


construction, real estate or housing


industries.
Excellent analytical, organisational and
administrative skills with a methodical


approach to work.
An understanding of supplier due diligence
and the ability to assess suppliers against


core criteria.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft
Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook,


and particularly Power BI.
High level of accuracy and attention to
detail, with the ability to manage multiple


priorities and work across a range of tasks.
A strong team player who is self-motivated,
uses own initiative and works well under


pressure.
Comply and uphold Grainger's policies and
procedures, in relation to, but not limited to,


confidentiality, health and safety, GDPR, IT,


security, equality, diversity and fair


treatment.
