Assistant Production Manager

to support our production team and help ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Production Manager in coordinating and supervising the daily production schedule Support and lead a team of production operatives across multiple stages of the manufacturing process Ensure consistent product quality through hands-on oversight and regular quality checks Monitor machinery and production lines to maintain efficiency and minimise downtime Manage raw material flow and finished goods handling (including occasional heavy lifting) Maintain accurate production records and help drive continuous improvement initiatives Ensure health & safety procedures and operational guidelines are followed at all times Contribute to staff training, development, and team morale

Requirements:

Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment, ideally in a supervisory or team leader role Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to lift heavy items and work on your feet for extended periods High attention to detail and commitment to product quality Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment A willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks and machinery Understanding of health & safety best practices in a factory or workshop setting
